Pentecost: There is so much more
+Philip Jones
“Pentecost reverses the curse of Babel. It brings together different cultures. It brings together different languages. It brings together different people. The people could hear in their own language. The miracle wasn’t so much that they were speaking in different languages but that they were hearing in their own language. And what were the people hearing? They were hearing the great works of God declared. Not the great teaching of Christ. Not the great teaching of the Bible, but works of God. Christ on the cross at the resurrection was being declared to them.”
