Marriage Ministry

Marriage Ministry

We offer a three-day marriage retreat for clergy couples to evaluate the past, cast vision for the future and plan and set goals.

It is a balance of intentional time, fun, relaxation, and prayer. The net result is a clear understanding of what this year looks like from God’s perspective and planning specifics accordingly. We also ask that you have at least ten people who will be praying for your time together. This needs to be covered in prayer as the enemy will do everything in his power to undermine!

This retreat is for “healthy” marriages with healthy communication, not perfect but healthy. Also, this format requires some forethought and self-leadership. This usually is not a good plan when there are “big” issues that need to be addressed or if you don’t do well creating structure. There are times when you may need to go to a marriage retreat that is more structured or to a counselor when you don’t think you can address your current issues in a healthy fashion on your own. This should be discussed and decided before embarking on the Marriage Ministry retreat.

Fir each retreat there will be a total of five couples (ten participants) with two couples who will host and facilitate the discussions. (Host couples for this spring are Mike and Kissy Blanchat and Allen and Louise Hughes).
